Vulca\u0302nico do Fogo is forced to beat Sanjoanense on Sunday, the 11th, in the last round of Group B, to guarantee qualification to the semi-finals, without depending on third parties.<\/p>\n

According to the Cape Verdean news agency, Vulca\u0302nico, which leads Group B with ten points, one more than the runner-up, Palmeira from Sal Island, is going to the game with the aim of winning the three points to guarantee passage to the second phase.<\/p>\n

In case of victory for Palmeira, in their trip to the island of Sa\u0303o Nicolau, and eventual victory for Morabeza da Brava, in their trip to Sa\u0303o Vicente against Acade\u0301mica, counting for Group C, the champions of Fogo will remain out of the next phase.<\/p>\n

The players, technical team and managers are aware of the need to beat Sanjoanense’s formation, thus guaranteeing passage to the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

Mindelense is the only team that has already secured passage to the semi-finals of the national football competition, while Acade\u0301mica do Mindelo, current holders of the title, only needs a draw against Morabeza, from Brava, to continue in the competition.<\/p>\n
