According to the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF), quoted by the inforpress news agency, part of the players and technical team arrived in the city of Casablanca, late this Thursday afternoon, coming from Lisbon.<\/p>\n

The right-back, Steve Furtado, contracted a muscle injury, last weekend, at the service of his team, from Bulgaria, so he was dismissed from the services of the national team.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that on the 18th of June, the \u201cTubaro\u0303es Azules\u201d will host their counterpart from Burkina Faso, a match referring to the fifth and penultimate round of Group B qualifying for the African Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n

The match is scheduled for 3 pm, at the National Stadium, in Praia.<\/p>\n

Cape Verde ranks second in group B qualifying for CAN’2023, with seven points. The table is led by Burkina Faso, which is already qualified, with 10 points.<\/p>\n

The final phase will count with the participation of 24 African selections, and the first two classified teams of each group will qualify.<\/p>\n
