Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The festivities of Saint Peter, in Ribeira Brava of Sa\u0303o Nicolau, start today with the horse races and the parade of the \u201cSan Ped\u201d boat, \u201cstrong points\u201d of these festivities.<\/p>\n

According to the organization, the activities start this Wednesday, 28th, with the first round of horse racing and the traditional lamp and drum roll and the cola \u2018san Ped na fund Passagem\u2019.<\/p>\n

The activities continue on Thursday 29th with the solemn mass in honour of Sa\u0303o Pedro, followed by the firemen, riders and boilers lunch.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights of the festival is the parade of the \u201cSan Ped\u201d boat, from Chanzinha to the Passagem area, according to the popular, the boat prepared by local craftsmen comes every year loaded with a different message satirizing the current affairs, according to events of the moment, which have marked national or regional life.<\/p>\n
