Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Paralympic athlete Marilson Semedo broke, this Monday, his personal record in the para-athletics world, in France. The Cape Verdean athlete was among the top 10 in the javelin throwing discipline, reaching a personal record of 38.20 meters.<\/p>\n

Marilson said that he achieved all his goals, as he improved his performance from 36.95 meters to 38.20 meters, qualified for the final and was among the top ten in the world in the F57 javelin throw of the \u201cWorld Para Athletics Championships Paris 2023\u2032\u2032, which takes place at Charle\u0301ty Stadium.<\/p>\n

The athlete, who last March, at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix Series in Marrakech 2023, qualified for the World Championship and Paralympic Games in Paris’ 2024 in the F57 javelin throw, by throwing the javelin over a distance of 36.40 meters is focused on improving the personal result, considering it to be the most important in this world cup.<\/p>\n

Cape Verde in the spotlight on Wednesday<\/p>\n

Cape Verde returns to the scene on Wednesday, the 12th, with athlete Heidilene Oliveira and her guide Jailson de Oliveira, accredited in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dash, Class T12.<\/p>\n
