Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The UCID considered today that the Government \u201chas not made a serious bet\u201d on agriculture because, despite the scarcity of water, there is the possibility of underground collection requiring investments.<\/p>\n

The criticism was made at a press conference by deputy Zilda Oliveira, elected on the lists of the Independent and Democratic Cabo Verdean Union (UCID, opposition) for the constituency of Sa\u0303o Vicente, when anticipating the first parliamentary session this month in July.<\/p>\n

In fact, the session starts on Wednesday, the 12th, and will be marked by a question to the Government presented by the parliamentary group of the African Independence Party of Cabo Verde (PAICV, opposition) on the 2023\/2024 agricultural campaign.<\/p>\n

According to the deputy, it is necessary to encourage investment in other productive technologies such as hydroponics and aeroponics, which are still \u201cvery residual\u201d, with essentially private initiatives.<\/p>\n
