Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The National Police carried out a mega operation in all the neighborhoods of the capital, late yesterday afternoon. The data resulting from this operation will be released shortly.<\/p>\n

According to information provided by RCV, the mega operation carried out yesterday, between 5 pm and 8 pm, involved 12 districts of the country’s capital.<\/p>\n

According to data provided by Commander Lui\u0301s Bastos to national radio, the operation involved 12 teams out of a total of 120 personnel on the ground in order to cover the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe country’s capital.<\/p>\n

The same source assured that there were apprehensions, but the police will compile the data to “give the numbers at the exact moment”.<\/p>\n

In the opinion of this official, the law on weapons brought \u201cadvantages in the matter of arrests\u201d and, therefore, he believes that people will be more careful because, if they are caught with weapons, \u201cthings change shape\u201d, because the frame penalty is heavier.<\/p>\n

The operation, within the scope of the 2023 security plan, aims not only to serve as prevention, but also to find firearms and knives, drugs and identify any suspicious individuals, in order to combat crime.<\/p>\n
