Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Tarrafal de Sa\u0303o Nicolau, Aug 2 (Inforpress) \u2013 The Minister of Communities said, in Sa\u0303o Nicolau, that there was a misunderstanding about the supposed \u201cdisappearance\u201d of more than half of the Cabo Verdean delegation to the World Youth Day.<\/p>\n

Jorge Santos, who was speaking to Inforpress on the sidelines of the solemn session of the day of the Municipality of Tarrafal de Sa\u0303o Nicolau, clarified that what happened is that the young people, instead of \u201cgoing to the accommodation in Leiria, stayed in Lisbon at the home of relatives\u201d but are participating in WYD.<\/p>\n

According to the minister, the news of the \u201cdisappearance\u201d was completely unfounde\u201d and that has already been denied by some media in Portugal.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, he guaranteed that the Government is closely monitoring the matter, as these young people were participating in an \u201cimportant event\u201d and the executive has \u201cevery interest\u201d in having the largest possible delegation there.<\/p>\n
