Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Councillor for the Environment and Animal Policy, Jos\u00e9 Carlos da Luz, urged the population of Mindelo to make better use of the municipal slaughterhouse, which has \u201call conditions\u201d for cattle slaughter and free of charge.<\/p>\n

According to the same source admitted to Inforpress, \u201cperhaps most of the population does not know the existence and conditions that exist\u201d in the City Hall of S\u00e3o Vicente slaughterhouse, located in the Ribeira de Craquinha, near the housing complex of Portelinha, and inaugurated 11 years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe and the City Hall\u2019s communication services have made some awareness to get people\u2019s attention and what are the advantages of making a slaughter, whether it be pigs, cattle and goats in the space that has all the conditions,\u201d he said, referring to the issue of hygiene, but also cold store.<\/p>\n

The Councillor reiterated the fact that \u201cnothing is paid for the service\u201d and only obliges to take the supervision license in the Delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to allow the consultation of the veterinarian, before the slaughter of the animal, and certification of the meat taken later to the butchers.<\/p>\n
