Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Agricultural producers in Tarrafal de Monte Trigo, Santo Ant\u00e3o, would like to count on the Government\u2019s support given the losses recorded in January, during a strong winds on this locality, devastating local agriculture.<\/p>\n

The farmers\u2019 spokesman, Graciano \u00c9vora, said the damage was \u201cso great\u201d that the farmers from Tarrafal de Monte Trigo would like \u201cthe Government to give them a hand\u201d at this difficult time, in which they seek to recover their devastated plots.<\/p>\n

This farmer told Inforpress that the situation of the class in this valley is \u201cvery complicated\u201d, but \u201cthey are trying to get back on their feet\u201d after bad weather in January that destroyed crops such as sugarcane, yams, cassava, among others.<\/p>\n

Also in Martiene, farmers say they are in a \u201cdifficult situation\u201d, as the storm destroyed the potato crop, compromising this year\u2019s entire harvest.<\/p>\n
