Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The mentor of the Project \u201d \u201cMulheres e seus Destinos\u201d today donated 100,000 escudos to the Association for Community Development of Cha\u0303 das Furnas in Ribeira Grande (Santo Anta\u0303o), resulting from the sale of the books in the third volume of the anthology \u201d \u201cMulheres e seus Destinos\u201d (Women and their Destinies).<\/p>\n

The project\u2019s mentor and coordinator, Lena Marc\u0327al, said she hoped this donation would provide a \u201cbetter quality\u201d of life for the local residents, reflected in an improvement in their state of well-being.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u201dWe would like to thank all the partners and individuals who contributed with the acquisition of copies, which allowed us to fulfil this assumed social responsibility\u201d, she said<\/p>\n

Launched on 8 March in the city of Praia, the book contains 97 pieces of prose written by 85 women and 12 by men, and 153 poems, 29 by men and 124 by women.<\/p>\n
