Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The militant Adilson Gra\u00e7a Jesus was elected on Sunday the president of the Regional Political Commission of the African Independence Party of Cape Verde (PAICV), in S\u00e3o Vicente.<\/p>\n

According to the president of the Regional Commission of Jurisdiction and Supervision, Roberto Ramos, who accompanied the voting process, 935 militants voted.<\/p>\n

He announced that Adilson Gra\u00e7a Jesus was elected with 686 votes, which is about 73.4 percent (%), while the other candidate Jean Emmanuel da Cruz had 239 votes, which is about 25.6 % of the votes.<\/p>\n

Asked how the voting process proceeded, Roberto Ramos said that \u201cthe most common issue, at all polling station, was the fact that the electoral roll, sent by the National Secretariat in Praia, was not up-to-date, which made many militants, with membership dues, could not exercise their right to vote\u201d.<\/p>\n
