Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic (PR) welcomed what he considered to be a \u201chuge effort\u201d made by Cabo Verde over time to allow the development of the National Health System, whose gains today \u201care visible\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Maria Neves, who was speaking at the presentation of the results of the vaccination against COVID-19 in S\u00e3o Salvador do Mundo (Picos), as part of his three-day visit to the municipality in the countryside of Santiago, assured that of the visits made as Head of State he has noticed \u201csubstantial progress\u201d in the National Health System.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be difficult to achieve the gains in vaccination and in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic if the country had not made all these investments in the National Health System,\u201d he noted, admitting, however, that there are still improvements to be made and challenges to be overcome.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a functioning National Health System and we have health professionals committed to providing quality services in the National Health System,\u201d said the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n
