Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>TAP had to divert two flights this week to Praia, apparently due to bad weather. One was on the night of Wednesday, the 7th, and the other last Friday, the 9th. Two nights in which heavy rain fell in the capital, causing several embarrassments to passengers and the company, naturally. Constraints persist in relation to Friday passengers who are being reallocated on upcoming airline flights, with there being customers who were only able to be rescheduled to travel at the beginning of the week.<\/p>\n

After on Wednesday, the 7th, the night TAP flight from Lisbon to Praia was diverted to Sal, as it was unable to land at Nelson Mandela airport, due to heavy rain, and in Sal the passengers they returned to Lisbon and, only the following morning, went back to Praia, spending several hours on the plane, the same thing happened again on Friday the 9th.<\/p>\n

As a passenger told A NAC\u0327A\u0303O, who was supposed to travel to Lisbon on Friday the 9th, his flight was only rescheduled for Monday the 11th, thus losing \u201ctwo days of vacation\u201d. As he explains, the flight on Friday night, which was \u201cfull\u201d, was diverted to Sal, as it was unable to land in Praia, due to the intense rain that fell precisely at the time the plane was arriving.<\/p>\n

According to information, the plane ended up being diverted to Sal, as on Wednesday, 7th, and returned to Lisbon later. On Friday night, some passengers found it difficult to be placed in hotels in the capital, because according to what we found out they were full and there was even a couple with a child who ended up staying the night in the house of a citizen of Cape Verdean nationality in Praia, who I was also supposed to board the same flight.<\/p>\n

On Saturday morning, some passengers managed to board and, as we learned, they are being reassigned to future flights. In fact, there were passengers who came from Lisbon to Praia on Friday night, for professional commitments, who only managed to fly, for example, for this Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Remember that in recent days there has been some intense rain in the country’s capital.<\/p>\n

THE NATION tried to obtain the exact number of passengers still stranded, but without success.<\/p>\n
