Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The mayor of Sa\u0303o Vicente, Augusto Neves, said today in Mindelo that he is available to run for a new term as long as he has the support of his party, the Movement for Democracy (MpD).<\/p>\n

Augusto Neves was speaking at a press conference in Town Hall to react about the lead in the municipality\u2019s management instruments for the year 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the party supports me, I will always be available. So it will depend on our party because it\u2019s the party president who makes the choice, not me, but for Sa\u0303o Vicente I will fight to improve the lives and quality of Sa\u0303o Vicente residents,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The mayor also revealed that he will never run as an independent candidate and that if the MpD opts for another candidate he will be \u201cin the front line\u201d to \u201csupport them and guarantee victory\u201d.<\/p>\n
