Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Fishermen from the town of Palmeira, in Sal, said today they were \u201chappy and more confident\u201d to take to the sea in vibrating boats, which were handed over today by the Minister of the Sea, Abraa\u0303o Vicente.<\/p>\n

A group of four fishermen from the town of Palmeira received their boats, which had already been fibre-plated, thus giving them \u201cmore stability\u201d during their fishing trip, with the support of the Ministry of the Sea.<\/p>\n

In total, there are 12 artisanal fishing vessels on the island that must go through this fibering process, financed \u201cfully\u201d by the Ministry of the Sea, through the Autonomous Fisheries Fund, worth more than one million contos.<\/p>\n

In his speech on the occasion, Abraa\u0303o Vicente explained that this is a project to fiber boats, throughout the country, legal and carrying out economic activity, in order to provide safety and working conditions for seafarers and their families.<\/p>\n
