Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Football Association of the Northern Region of Santo Ant\u00e3o issued a statement on Monday to commiserate with family members and Paulense Desportivo Clube for the death of the club\u2019s vice president, Jorge Duarte.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaking note of the death of Mr. Jorge Humberto Almeida Duarte, better known as Jorge Bolacha, Paulense Desportivo Clube vice president, the AFRN-SA comes through this to send the most heartfelt condolences and sympathize with the pain of family, friends and colleagues, the club, the sports community of Paul and Santo Ant\u00e3o in general,\u201d the document reads.<\/p>\n

In the statement, AFRN-SA says it pays tribute \u201cto the work he has done throughout his career as a leader\u201d and sends \u201cheartfelt condolences extended to all.\u201d<\/p>\n

The note issued by the board of AFRN-SA and signed by the president of the Association, Hermes Pinto, also served to communicate to all clubs that there will be a minute\u2019s silence at all games next weekend, in honor of the late Jorge Humberto Duarte.<\/p>\n
