Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Cabo Verde Olympic Committee is hosting this Saturday\u2019s Local Conference on Youth in Cabo Verde (LCOY), an event promoted by Youngo, as the official youth group of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.<\/p>\n

Cabo Verde, according to a press release of the Cape Verdean Olympic Committee (COC), was selected to host the LCOY, a \u201cprestigious conference\u201d held in more than 120 countries<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to empower youth at local, national and regional levels to participate in climate action and decision-making processes, which aim to defend and promote climate action.<\/p>\n

Under the motto Sport, Youth and Climate Action, the LCOY in Praia will be held at the headquarters of the Cape Verde Football Federation, starting at 09:00, in a hybrid way, so that all the islands can take part throughout the day.<\/p>\n
