Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Swedish Akelius Foundation began today, in partnership with the office of the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund (Unicef), the pilot project for teaching languages to pupils from the second to the sixth of schooling in five basic schools in the country.<\/p>\n

The representative of the Education program of the United Nations Office in Cape Verde, Ana Cristina Ferreira, explained that the project, starting in schools in Praia, Sa\u0303o Domingos, Ribeira Grande de Santiago and on the island of Sal, intends, with resources to technologies, the pedagogical diversification of teaching and learning Portuguese, French and English languages.<\/p>\n

The objective, on the other hand, is, according to the person responsible, to promote in this first phase the interaction between the student and the application with different activities, driven by the \u201ccourse\u201d based on European levels of linguistic competence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe project had a pre-experiment before the pilot phase, which we started to do. There was some delay due to the purchase of a reasonable quantity of tablets abroad and, as you know, purchases abroad now take much longer, but we managed to carry out this experiment, which was already planned, from April onwards and to be able to start this first phase,\u201d she emphasised.<\/p>\n
