Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>BAI Cabo Verde bank now has new facilities in the city of Mindelo to respond to the demands of the growth of the island of Sa\u0303o Vicente. The Monte Cara Agency, opened on Friday, 22nd, in the Bai\u0301a Building, located on the emblematic Avenida Marginal, also aims to provide a new experience in banking and energy sustainability.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of BAI CV bank’s sustainability policy, we are committed to moving to new facilities, more appropriate and designed to make better use of space, for greater energy efficiency and aligned with the banking experience we want to offer our customers, partners and the public in general\u201d, highlighted Jorge Almeida, President of the Executive Committee, at the inauguration ceremony of the Monte Cara Agency, chaired by the Mayor of Sa\u0303o Vicente, Augusto Neves.<\/p>\n

Jorge Almeida also highlighted the fact that the new agency is located in the emblematic Avenida Marginal of the city of Mindelo and in front of Monte Cara, which gave it its name.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe agency’s entrance is in front of the city’s postcard, Monte Cara. Therefore, the name could not be anything else\u201d, noted the President of the Executive Committee of BAI Cabo Verde bank.<\/p>\n

Response to the demands of Sa\u0303o Vicente<\/p>\n

According to Jorge Almeida, the Monte Cara Agency was designed and built to respond to the demands of the population of Sa\u0303o Vicente, namely local companies, private clients, public entities, social development structures and \u201ceveryone who needs financial services\u201d.<\/p>\n

The inauguration of this new agency comes on the eve of the celebrations of BAI’s 15th anniversary in Cape Verde, with the first agency in Mindelo being opened in 2010 to guarantee its presence in this financial market that represents around 15.5% of the national GDP.<\/p>\n

After 13 years, BAI Cabo Verde bank has two branches on Monte Cara Island, offering a global banking service to its customers.<\/p>\n

Edil Augusto Neves praises BAI’s contribution to the development of Sa\u0303o Vicente<\/p>\n

The Mayor of Sa\u0303o Vicente, Augusto Neves, who presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Monte Cara Agency, praised the contribution that BAI has been making to the development of the island, considering that the new agency will increase economic and financial relations and contribute to improving the population\u2019s living conditions and building a more sustainable and competitive territory.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt cannot be overemphasized that BAI’s presence in the city is an added value for the Cape Verdean and Sa\u0303o Vicente financial system, as it will facilitate commercial exchanges. The opening of this agency thus strengthens this relationship and contributes to the increase in credit, national production and exports, necessary for the increase in foreign exchange needs\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Augusto Neves also thanked the trust that banks and beyond have placed in Sa\u0303o Vicente.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thank the banks, entrepreneurs, promoters and companies for the trust they have placed in Sa\u0303o Vicente\u201d, stated the mayor of Sa\u0303o Vicente, showing confidence that the new products and services from the Monte Cara Agency will contribute to the better functioning of the banking system and the development of the island.<\/p>\n

Social partnership with Baptista de Sousa Hospital<\/p>\n

At the same time as the inauguration of the Monte Cara Agency, the bank BAI CV re-established a social partnership with Hospital Baptista de Sousa, having made a donation to that hospital as part of the bank’s social responsibility for health and supporting the development of the island of Sa\u0303o Vicente .<\/p>\n

BAI celebrates, next November, 15 years in Cape Verde, an occasion in which, according to the President of the Executive Committee, Jorge Almeida, this banking entity hopes to bring news, especially for women, who will continue to have access to products and services that allow them to develop your projects.<\/p>\n

It is worth remembering that, in addition to the Mayor of Sa\u0303o Vicente, Augusto Neves, the inauguration ceremony of the Monte Cara Agency was attended by representatives of various official entities and businesspeople, among other presences.<\/p>\n

Musician and singer Tito Paris attended the aforementioned ceremony, and it was also worth highlighting the blessing of the new facilities by the local priest.<\/p>\n\r\n
