Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The mayor of city council of Brava today welcomed the government\u2019s initiative to declare a situation of calamity in the municipality, giving access to the Emergency Fund to respond to the damage caused by the rains.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media, Francisco Tavares assured that with this government decision, the municipality will have access to funding and will give faster response to the damage caused by the last rains.<\/p>\n

According to Councillor, since the beginning of the damage caused by the flood of rain, the government has requested by the House, a report of the damage and also the budgets for the municipal roads that were damaged.<\/p>\n

However, he also emphasised that the reports and budgets for the national road to Faja\u0303 d\u2019A\u0301gua are the responsibility of Estradas de Cabo Verde (ECV).<\/p>\n
