Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The president of Porto Novo City Council, Ani\u0301bal Fonseca, today reassured the 20 families in Bolona, in Planalto Norte, in the interior of the municipality, assuring that the Government will help to materialize the electrification project of the locality.<\/p>\n

Inforpress learnt from the mayor that there are still around 3,000 escudos missing to complete the entire budget for the Bolona electrification project, which is budgeted at around 14,000 escudos, but that \u201cthe government is willing\u201d to provide the remaining funds.<\/p>\n

The project, which has been running for four months, consists of setting up a photovoltaic energy production unit with a capacity of 15 kWp to supply the 20 families in Bolona, co-financed by the City Council of Porto Novo, the Electricity and Water Company (Electra) and the United Nations System, through the GEF SCP.<\/p>\n

Ani\u0301bal Fonseca said he had guarantees that the government would help realise this project by December, supporting the municipality of Porto Novo with the remaining three thousand escudos.<\/p>\n
