Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Emicela Team Cabo Verde athletes Orlando Tavares and Jailson Oliveira make their debut today in the 12th edition of the 100 kilometer Ultramarathon, of the Grande Trail da Serra d\u2019A\u0301rga, in Portugal, an event in which the Country participates with 12 athletes.<\/p>\n

A prova arranca hoje com partida em Vila Nova de Cerveira, com meta volante ao quilo\u0301metro 19, na Ponte Medieval, sendo que no sa\u0301bado, 30, inicia-se o Ultra Trail nos 45 quilo\u0301metros, considerada a prova rainha no munici\u0301pio de Caminha e da qual e Emicela Team Cabo Verde vai concorrer com Anto\u0301nio Veiga e Walter Arau\u0301jo.<\/p>\n

On Sunday 1 October, the remaining races will continue, with Cape Verdean athletes Edena Lima, Eliseu Morais, Milly Brito and Wilson Cabral competing in the long trail (27 kilometres), while Quelton Lomba, Edy Moreno, Liliana Medina and Ele\u0301rise Mendes will compete in the short trail (17 kilometres)<\/p>\n

The 12 Emicela Team Cabo Verde athletes selected for this competition in Portugal come from the sports regions of Santiago, Fogo, Brava, Sa\u0303o Vicente, Santo Anta\u0303o and Sa\u0303o Nicolau.<\/p>\n
