Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Agostinho Neto University Hospital sent nine children for cancer treatment in Portugal in 2021, pediatrician Mitza Serena said Tuesday, reiterating that early diagnosis of the disease increases the chance of cure.<\/p>\n

The doctor, who spoke in an interview with Inforpress on the occasion of the International Childhood Cancer Day, which is marked today, took the opportunity to draw the attention of parents and guardians to symptoms, early signs, and explained that such symptoms are usually common to other diseases that are not malignant.<\/p>\n

In this sense, she also called on parents to also create the habit of taking them to routine consultations and also to seek a doctor, pediatrician, every time the child presents some health problem, thus highlighting the importance of medical follow-up.<\/p>\n
