Rosa Rocha, who spoke at the opening of the political year in Santo Anta\u0303o, said that Elisa Pinheiro, current president of the Regional Political Committee of this party on this island, is PAICV’s choice to lead the team that will contest the next municipal elections in the municipality of Porto New.<\/p>\n

The vice-president of PAICV and national deputy elected by Santo Anta\u0303o understands that the current municipal executive, led by Ani\u0301bal Fonseca, \u201cno longer has anything left to give to Porto Novo \u201d, a municipality that, in her view, needs \u201c a new leadership \u201d.<\/p>\n

For Rosa Rocha, PAICV has \u201call the conditions \u201d to win the elections in all municipalities of Santo Anta\u0303o, praising the \u201c excellent work \u201d that the regional and local structures of this party have done in Santo Anta\u0303o with a view to winning the municipal elections .<\/p>\n

He said that PAICV wants to win the elections in Santo Anta\u0303o next year in order to win the legislative elections in 2026, considering that, with \u201c unity\u201d , this party can achieve all the proposed objectives.<\/p>\n

For Elisa Pinheiro, \u201c PAICV has an obligation to win the local and legislative elections \u201d so that \u201c Santo Anta\u0303o can resume the pace of infrastructure to which it was accustomed\u201d .<\/p>\n

The president of PAICV, Rui Semedo, said that the party has the \u201c goal of being the majority party at municipal level \u201d in Cape Verde in 2024, considering this purpose \u201c possible \u201d which, in his view, is \u201c comparable to capabilities \u201d of this political force.<\/p>\n

Rui Semedo left \u201c the challenge \u201d to the PAICV structures to start, \u201c from today \u201d, preparing next year\u2019s local elections, promising \u201c great candidates and great teams \u201d in all municipalities \u201c that deserve trust and that renew the hopes of Cape Verdeans\u201d<\/p>\n
