Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The grog produced in the agricultural valleys of Tarrafal de Monte Trigo and Ribeira da Cruz, which was recently on display at the Rhum Festival in Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire), could be exported to the African market.<\/p>\n

Porto Novo: Grogue produced in the city could be exported to Africa
\nGrog producers from these two locations in the interior of the municipality of Porto Novo, after the \u201csuccess\u201d achieved by the product at this exhibition in Abidjan, which was attended by around 30 rhum brands from all over the world, believe that they can export the brandy for Africa.<\/p>\n

The French website \u201cExcellencerhum.com\u201d, specialized in promoting rum around the world, highlighted the fact that the grog produced, since the 16th century, in both locations, from sugar cane, ranks among the best in the \u201cfamily of rum\u201d in Africa.<\/p>\n

Grog \u201cmade in\u201d Tarrafal de Monte Trigo and Ribeira da Cruz, well known in the market for its quality, has been exported to Europe since 2018, where it has already been present at some world-class exhibitions.<\/p>\n

Some producers approached by Inforpress also admit the possibility of starting to export grog to the United States of America.<\/p>\n

The grog produced in the Tarrafal de Monte Trigo and Ribeira da Cruz valleys was present, between the 14th and 17th of October, at the second edition of the Rhum Festival in Abidjan, in an initiative by the Porto-Nov company M\u00fasica e Grogue.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of 2022, the spirit produced in these two valleys has been present at some world exhibitions, with emphasis on Open Spirits, in Toulouse, and Rhum Fest, in Paris, which has contributed to the internationalization of this product, says the website of this company.<\/p>\n
