Religious activities constitute the highlight of the celebrations of the day in the town of Ribeira das Patas and the parish of Sa\u0303o Joa\u0303o Paulo II, also marked by the delivery of bathrooms built by the city council as part of the Santo Anta\u0303o water and sanitation project to 12 families. .<\/p>\n

The program of commemorative activities on the 22nd of October in Ribeira das Patas also includes sporting events in futsal, athletics and cycling and a cultural night with Cordas de Sol, Jenifer Solidade, Banda Nho\u0301 Kzik and the group of New Generation contra-dance.<\/p>\n

On this day when Ribeira das Patas celebrates the eighth anniversary of the elevation of this village to the status of a town and the sixth anniversary of the creation of the parish of Sa\u0303o Joa\u0303o Paulo II, the local development association once again calls for the implementation of the infrastructure program of this city.<\/p>\n

The construction of the much-desired health center and a grass football field, the creation of a National Police station and the planning of the Ribeira das Patas watershed are among the main aspirations of the population of this location, according to the association leader, Arlindo Delgado .<\/p>\n

Arlindo Delgado told Inforpress today that the construction of the health center, whose first stone was laid in June 2022, is, \u201cwithout a doubt, the main aspiration\u201d of the approximately three thousand inhabitants of the village of Ribeira das Patas.<\/p>\n

In relation to the river basin, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment informed that preparations are being finalized with a view to launching the planning works for this river basin this year 2023.<\/p>\n

The delegate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in the municipality of Porto Novo, Joel Barros, said that, within a short time, the conditions will be met for the launch of this project, awaited with \u201cmuch expectation\u201d by the farmers of Ribeira das Patas.<\/p>\n

Football agents in this region insist on the need for Ribeira das Patas to be provided with a grass football field, remembering that this is \u201ca promise\u201d made by the local authority since 2016.<\/p>\n

The mayor of Porto Novo, Ani\u0301bal Fonseca, assured that the city council’s plans continue to include the requalification of the football field in Coice de Cha\u0303, in Ribeira das Patas, but considered that it will be “very difficult” to carry out this project even under this mandate, which ends in 2024.<\/p>\n
