Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The coach of the Morabeza team said today that the squad for the 23\/24 sports season is already registered on FIFA’s Cabo Verde Connect platform and highlighted that the club’s objective is to win all regional competitions.<\/p>\n

Football\/Brava: Morabeza sports club ready for the start of the 2023\/24 football season \u2013 Emanuel de Pina<\/p>\n

In an interview with Inforpress, the coach of Clube Morabeza, Emanuel de Pina, said that his team’s squad is already \u201cclosed\u201d, however, the start of preparations for the competition will begin on the sixth of November.<\/p>\n

According to this \u201chelmsman\u201d, his team is a \u201cserious\u201d candidate to win any regional and national title, given that in the previous year\u2019s sports season the club won the championship and had an \u201cexcellent\u201d national competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe previous year we won all the regional trophies and in the national competition we did very well, we didn’t lose any games, but we could have done even better\u201d, he noted.<\/p>\n

Emanuel de Pina informed that some players who were \u201cvery important\u201d in the squad and in the team\u2019s trajectory in the previous season have already left the club, however, he considered that the management managed to create a very \u201corganized\u201d team, in each sector, as that new players were also hired.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hired some young talents from Brava, who will certainly help the team a lot, as we need to work on the little ones, as they need incentives to practice sport\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

Pina considered that his team is capable of representing Brava at national level and also reinforced that the island deserves to be among the four or two best teams in Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the national competition last season, I was a little hurt when we were eliminated, considering that our objective was not just to have a team in the competition to represent the island, but to go to the end and perhaps win the title\u201d , he expressed.<\/p>\n

In this sense, he highlighted that when his team beat Acade\u0301mica do Mindelo, national champion, they did not lose any game in the competition and also eliminated a \u201cvery strong\u201d team like the Travadores from the Cape Verde Cup, which, according to him, either say that Clube Morabeza had the potential to go further.<\/p>\n
