Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The MpD deputy for the Boa Vista constituency Elisabete \u00c9vora considered today, in Sal Rei, that justice is on a \u201c good path \u201d with a reduction in pending issues, but warned of the need for \u201cdignified infrastructure\u201d for the sector.<\/p>\n

\nThe parliamentarian made this reading to the media after visiting institutions linked to justice, such as the Boa Vista District Court, the Regional Command of the National Police, the Registry Office, and the ICCA to find out about the justice situation on the island.<\/p>\n

According to Elisabete \u00c9vora, the visit was part of the preparation of the second parliamentary session in October 2023 for the debate with the Prime Minister on the \u201cIncome and Price Policy\u201d and the situation of Justice.<\/p>\n

\u201c In this context, I think we are on a good path, taking into account the visits and conversations held with those responsible, we have good data, for example at the level of justice and the court, which have managed to overcome and reduce pending cases\u201d , he stated.<\/p>\n

In the view shared by the national elected member of the Movement for Democracy (MpD \u2013 power), the regional command has not registered many cases, which is why it believes that there is a feeling of security on the part of the people of Boa Vista.<\/p>\n

However, it noted the need for buildings to house institutions in the area of \u200b\u200bjustice to provide greater dignity and working conditions for employees, and so that people from Boa Vista also have a better service.<\/p>\n

Referring to other concerns that she intends to take to parliament, Elisabete \u00c9vora, who had the opportunity to consult with residents, highlighted issues related to health and the need for other infrastructure in the city.<\/p>\n

Regarding the works on the Largo de Santa Isabel square, which have been suffering successive delays and constraints, the deputy expressed concern about the situation, which leaves the island at a standstill.<\/p>\n

\u201cSanitation is already a major concern addressed by the residents of Sal Rei who claim that this sector is critical, and point out responsibility both at the Government level and on the part of the Boa Vista City Council \u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Elisabete \u00c9vora argued that Boa Vista needs a \u201c closer look \u201d from the Government and the city council, and, in this sense, stated that she will appeal to the executive to make more investments on the island within the scope of the 2024 budget.<\/p>\n
