Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraa\u0303o Vicente, announced, in the City of Praia, that the delivery of the tabanca’s candidacy dossier as a UNESCO World Heritage Site will be postponed until 2024.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of this year, the Cultural Heritage Institute (IPC) had announced the submission of the aforementioned application for the second semester, but this was not possible, and now the government official is looking ahead to next year, adding that the work is in phase \u201c very advanced.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abraa\u0303o Vicente was speaking to Inforpress in the context of the State Budget for 2024, having stated that the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries needs greater investment, despite the value of the budget for 2024 having increased, from 505,932,789 escudos. As stated, the tabanca process is already in a \u201cvery advanced state\u201d, the entire survey has been carried out, all requests for authorization from the property holders, highlighting that any material and human heritage asset has legal procedures to be followed.<\/p>\n
