Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>This Friday, Ribeira Brava City Council, Sa\u0303o Nicolau, is holding the 11th edition of the Sports Gala under the motto \u201cBuilding Champions\u201d with the aim of rewarding outstanding sports agents in the municipality.<\/p>\n

According to the Ribeira-Bravense mayor, Jose\u0301 Martins, the initiative aims to recognize and value the work of athletes and sportspeople who have stood out in sport in this municipality.<\/p>\n

It is also a way to encourage associations and teams to hold more competitions, especially among the youngest groups, as a way of also promoting the municipality’s young talents, he added.<\/p>\n

The event, which will be held at the Maiamona sports hall, is part of the Ribeira Brava Municipality Day celebrations, marked on December 6th.<\/p>\n

This year’s edition of the Sports Gala marks the return of the event, after a three-year hiatus.<\/p>\n
