Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>This Wednesday, the 10th, drivers reported the lack of fuel in Boa Vista, indicating that for several days it has not been possible to purchase these goods at the usual sales outlets.<\/p>\n

At the Enacol gas station, as Dicha Sousa said, today for the second time in a row he tried to buy a 12 kilo gas cylinder again, where, he highlighted, the scenario has been repeated for several days, with people sitting next to the gas station to try to supply the same good.<\/p>\n

According to reports, there are gas cylinders, but they are only being sold to a few. \u201cDespite the sales establishment stating that there are no gas cylinders, we saw people who were able to purchase without any problems\u201d, he reported.<\/p>\n

The customer also said that, after several attempts to approach the gas station manager about the matter, the person in charge ignored her, turning his back on her, and later called the police on the people who were in the square, in an attempt to acquire a gas cylinder.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t change it because of abuse, because of pure corruption. We trust the company with the gas contract. Everyone is here in this impasse because of people who distribute gas poorly,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n

He warned of the need to put an end to situations of this kind on the island\u201d, in this specific case \u201cfavoritism towards people who are not in line for the aforementioned acquisition\u201d.<\/p>\n

Another customer, Amadu Ba, owner of a bakery, said that he has been requesting, on several occasions, a 55-kilo gas connection to run his business for the past year, but regrets that he is still waiting for a response.<\/p>\n

He says he is even licensed by the city council and the establishment was inspected by an Enacol employee.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s still poorly organized here, they need to change this system. They questioned the license given by the local authority, anyway, I prefer not to answer so as not to conflict with the manager\u201d, he lamented, noting that he had not even managed to acquire the 12 kilo cylinder which he said was insufficient for the type of business.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Hiaces drivers, taxi drivers, among other professionals in the area, say they are \u201charmed by the lack of fuel\u201d, claiming that \u201cwhen there is no fuel on the island they cannot work\u201d, a \u201crecurrent\u201d situation, according to denounced.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve been unable to make freight a few times, stopped due to lack of fuel to work. The situation is terrible, it\u2019s very complicated\u201d, said Dino Tavares, who comes to life behind the wheel of a cute Hiace.<\/p>\n

Another professional in the area, Ze\u0301 Espanhol, described that there have been times when, due to lack of fuel, he has been unable to work. \u201cIt is necessary to change the situation, which I consider to be a lack of respect,\u201d he said, questioning \u201cwho is going to take the loss when they are paralyzed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those of us who work in the morning, in the afternoon we try to supply ourselves with fuel, we can’t, we return the next day and until the end of the day we stay the same. Almost every day there is a lack of fuel and when there is, there are queues of cars as if at a fountain to collect water\u201d, said Dany Tavares.<\/p>\n

Inforpress contacted the Enacol manager, but the person responsible was not available to provide any statements to the media.<\/p>\n
