Filomena Gonc\u0327alves was speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the tenth anniversary of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) held at the National Assembly under the motto \u201cTen years of commitment to health\u201d.<\/p>\n

On World Kidney Day, which is celebrated today, the minister emphasized that kidney diseases represent a \u201chuge cost\u201d, both monetary and social, because, she stressed, patients on other islands must be transferred to the two hospitals that treat kidney disease. disease, namely the Agostinho Neto University Hospital, in the city of Praia, and the Baptista de Sousa Hospital, in Sa\u0303o Vicente.<\/p>\n
