Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Only 568 candidates for the teacher scholarship from the Ministry of Education of Timor-Leste passed the tests carried out to fill a total of 2,400 vacancies, according to official data to which Lusa had access today.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn general, the pass rate was low, with no exam having a pass rate higher than 10%\u201d, according to data from the Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n

The data indicates that of the \u201c11,273 exams carried out, 568 passes were recorded, which corresponds to a pass rate of 5%\u201d.<\/p>\n

Between March 15 and Tuesday, the Ministry of Education of Timor-Leste carried out 11,273 exams to fill a total of 2,400 vacancies in a pool of candidates, from which teachers will be hired.<\/p>\n

In the exams, candidates for the teaching scholarship had to obtain a minimum score of 60 out of a total of 100 points, but only a \u201cscore of 44.4 points in all tests\u201d was obtained.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe level with the highest pass rate was in the Portuguese Language subject in the third cycle of Basic Education with a pass rate of 9.7%\u201d, while the lowest pass rate was in the Natural Sciences subject in the third cycle Basic Education, recording a pass rate of 1.7%.<\/p>\n

At the meeting of the Council of Ministers, held on Wednesday, the Timorese Minister of Education, Dulce Soares, informed that a second phase of tests will be carried out to fill the remaining available vacancies.<\/p>\n
