Jero\u0301nimo Cunha, who was speaking to the press during the Cabo Verde – Portugal workshop on energy management and promoting energy efficiency, said that this opportunity can be taken advantage of, not only for Cape Verde to assert itself on climate issues, but also, an opportunity for the archipelago in terms of economic issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cPortugal looks at the energy transition as an economic opportunity. If we can produce our own energy with our resources, we will be more competitive and I think Cape Verde aspires to this, and this is what we want to contribute and help Cape Verde in this sense\u201d, she asserted.<\/p>\n

In this sense, he said that Portugal wants to share its experience with the archipelago in terms of energy consumers, \u201cdue to their nature as large consumers who deserve a different approach\u201d on issues of energy efficiency and renewable energy.<\/p>\n
