Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Real Sociedade, a team owned by Fernando P\u00f3, located on the island of S\u00e3o Vicente, already has its goalkeeper training school. The idea comes from Fredson do Ros\u00e1rio, president of the club, in \u201ccooperation\u201d with the goalkeeper Edivaldo Rodrigues.\u201cThe ‘goalkeeper training school’ project arises after we observed that no other team was concerned with filling this gap, which has long existed in football clubs in S\u00e3o Vicente\u201d, said Fredson do Ros\u00e1rio, president of Real Sociedade, to A NATION.<\/p>\n

The project is being implemented in cooperation with the goalkeeper Edivaldo Rodrigues. Fredson do Ros\u00e1rio adds that, with the dynamism that the school has been achieving, many are the children who want to embark on this option in terms of football. \u201cAt the moment we have 18 goalkeeper candidates, aged between 8 and 15 years old; in the group there are two girls, one of whom is only 13 years old\u201d.<\/p>\n

For his part, the school’s goalkeeper and monitor, Ron Lenox, points out that working with children is a great and stimulating challenge. \u201cParents are trusting us with their children and in training we end up being, in practice, the guardians of these children and adolescents, since they are under our responsibility\u201d.<\/p>\n

Advantage<\/b><\/p>\n

The best way to take advantage of each child starts with mutual respect, argues Ron Lenox. \u201cUsually, we don’t know what life is like for each of our disciples in their respective family, so we always try to have an individualized conversation to understand a little of the daily life of each child we have here training and playing football with us\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the training plan, according to that monitor, several aspects of the students’ lives are taken into account, and in this there is no lack of the problem of adequate nutrition before each training session.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a goalkeeper it is very gratifying to be able to transmit what I know. Also, a goalkeeper school was something S\u00e3o Vicente had long needed. Personally, I even thought about creating my goalkeeping school, now, with this Real Sociedade initiative, I am fulfilling the dream of transmitting the experience I acquired in the teams I played for\u201d, emphasizes Ron Lenox.<\/p>\n

The Real Sociedade Edivaldo Rodrigues goalkeeper school is located in Fernando P\u00f3. Created eight months ago, it currently has 18 practitioners, aged between 8 and 15, with the work of four monitors.<\/p>\n
