Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The councilor of the Santa Catarina do Fogo chamber Carlos Rodrigues said that he was chosen in the survey, but \u201cfor the good of the MpD and the municipality\u201d left aside the dream and ambition, preferring the third way.<\/b>
\nReacting to the choice of Evandro Monteiro to top the list for the presidency of the Municipality of Santa Catarina do Fogo in the next elections municipalities, Carlos Rodrigues, said that there was no exclusion of his person because, he explained, who was in the front line was him.<\/b>
\n\u201cIt was I who suggested a third way because I saw that the intention of the current president, Alberto Nunes, was to destroy the party and delay the municipality<\/b>,\u201d Carlos Rodrigues said, adding that \u201cin the good of the Movement for Democracy (MpD)<\/b>\u201d indicated the name of Evandro Monteiro for being a responsible, respected, serious and son of Santa Catarina do Fogo.<\/p>\n

In the words of Carlos Rodrigues, it is a \u201cassertive and mastery\u201d<\/b> choice that the municipality of Santa Catarina will win a lot with this choice and the MpD will be victorious in the municipal elections of 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no doubt that I will support the candidacy of Evandro Monteiro. All my supporters, friends, family will support Evandro Monteiro and we will win the municipal elections<\/b>,\u201d he said, underlining that he respects and accepts the choice of MpD.<\/p>\n

Asked if he will be part of Evandro Monteiro\u2019s list, Carlos Rodrigues said he will be part of the list.<\/p>\n

\u201cI worked and was prepared to win the elections, but as the current president did not want to give the throne to my person, I preferred a third way for the good of the people of Santa Catarina<\/b>,\u201d said Carlos Rodrigues, adding that he is prepared to win alongside Evandro Monteiro in the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n

Carlos Rodrigues, remember, was part of the list of Alberto Nunes in the 2016 and 2020 elections, but since last year divergence between the two left him without a folder in the chamber of Santa Catarina do Fogo.<\/p>\n
