The intention was expressed by the president of the Am\u00edlcar Cabral Foundation, Pedro Pires, after meeting with the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abra\u00e3o Vicente, where he assured that there is a national interest around this candidacy.<\/p>\n

It is, according to Commander Pedro Pires, one of the \u201cmost important\u201d matter of the Foundation that will allow the country to gain an element of political, cultural and intellectual valorization, because the writings of Am\u00edlcar Cabral are studied in hundreds of universities in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndeed, to seize the symbol of Am\u00edlcar Cabral as a means of cultural and intellectual promotion is very important considering the person who he is, the knowledge about him abroad and the personality he is,\u201d said the former President who considered it to be something that should be valued for the promotion of the archipelago.<\/p>\n
