Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The president of the Independent and Democratic Cabo Verdean Union (UCID), Ant\u00f3nio Monteiro, shared with the President of the Republic, this Monday, concerns about the maritime economy, which should be \u201cdynamicized\u201d and the conditions for the country to win.<\/p>\n

Ant\u00f3nio Monteiro, who was received today at a hearing by the Head of State, Jos\u00e9 Maria Neves, in Mindelo, admitted to the press to be uneasy about the maritime economy and particularly with the project for the Special Maritime Economic Zone of S\u00e3o Vicente (ZEEMSV) that in his view \u201cshould be dynamicized\u201d and with the conditions for the island and Cabo Verde to win.<\/p>\n

Also in the maritime sector, the President of UCID addressed the issue of higher and vocational training in this area, since the \u201cmost territory of the country is sea\u201d.<\/p>\n

He therefore advocated that a \u201cmassive training\u201d of young people at marine level, officers and machine engineers is \u201cfundamental\u201d to building bridges and having \u201chigher aspirations.\u201d<\/p>\n
