Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The city of Mindelo hosts on the 24th and 25th the symposium on \u201cMemories and Narratives (Post) Colonials\u201d, which aims to promote a reflection on the history of colonialism and allow allow changes in mentality, promoters said.<\/p>\n

The event will be promoted by the Portuguese Cultural Center of Mindelo (CCPM), the Buala Cultural Association in Lisbon, in partnership with the Faculty of Education and Sport (FaED) of the University of Cabo Verde.<\/p>\n

It aims to promote a reflection on the colonialism \u201cmaking known other points of view, other approaches, besides those we know from the official manuals\u201d, explained the director of the CCPM, Jo\u00e3o Branco, to Inforpress.<\/p>\n

Jo\u00e3o Branco assured that the symposium is aimed at all interested parties, but especially to the student class who he considers to be somewhat apart the history of his country.<\/p>\n
