Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The island of Maio will host the annual meeting of the TAOLA+ Network from the 13th to the 15th of this month, bringing together experts and organizations to strengthen coordination and strategies for environmental conservation in the country.<\/p>\n

The event will take place in the Noble Hall of the Municipal Assembly of Porto Ingle\u0302s and will include the participation of civil society organizations, public institutions, technical partners, and national and international experts linked to biodiversity conservation in Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

The official opening will be presided over by the UN Resident Coordinator in Cape Verde, Patri\u0301cia de Souza.<\/p>\n

According to the organization, the meeting constitutes a space for work and consultation among the different actors in the sector, focusing on aligning priorities and defining joint actions to respond to the challenges of conservation in the archipelago.<\/p>\n

During the three days, topics such as marine conservation, the protection of turtles and seabirds, as well as terrestrial conservation, will be analyzed, in addition to the evaluation of the results of the network’s last cycle of activities.<\/p>\n

Expected results include defining strategic priorities by thematic area, strengthening coordination among network members, improving institutional technical capabilities, and reinforcing the TAOLA+ Network’s position at the national level.<\/p>\n
