In an interview with Inforpress, Coach Heleno Imbadji\u2014known as “CJ Heleno”\u2014stated that the squad arrives motivated following two victories in the qualifying rounds, highlighting the team’s unity and focus heading into this decisive stage of the competition.<\/p>\n

According to the coach, the week of preparation was dedicated to correcting errors identified in previous matches, reinforcing tactical aspects and collective consistency with the aim of delivering a solid performance in this final stage.<\/p>\n

Despite his confidence, Heleno Imbadji acknowledged the strength of their opponent, Sal Rei (from Boa Vista), emphasizing that every team takes the field with the ambition to win. He advocated for mutual respect, fair play, and competitive balance, reminding everyone that “it is 11 against 11.”<\/p>\n

The coach believes, however, that the team spirit and unity demonstrated by the squad could prove decisive in helping Gre\u0301mio de Nhagar make history in this competition.<\/p>\n

The delegation from Santiago Norte\u2014which received logistical support from the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF) for the trip\u2014has scheduled a training session for this afternoon to adapt to the pitch that will host the competition.<\/p>\n

Heleno Imbadji also took the opportunity to thank the fans and partners for their support, calling on them to send positive energy\u2014even from a distance\u2014and promising that the squad will do everything in its power to bring the trophy back to Santiago Norte, and specifically to the municipality of Santa Catarina.<\/p>\n

On their journey to the “Final Four,” Gre\u0301mio de Nhagar defeated Benfica da Brava (3\u20130) and eliminated Desportivo da Praia on penalties (3\u20132) following a 1\u20131 draw in regulation time, in matches played at the 25 de Julho Municipal Stadium in Santa Cruz. Gre\u0301mio de Nhagar takes the field on April 29, while in the other semifinal, Sanjoanenses and Mindelense face off; the Cabo Verde Cup final is scheduled for May 2.<\/p>\n
