Juvenal Carvalho, a telecommunications and computer engineer with a master’s degree in digital transformation, delivered this message during his presentation at the business workshop promoted by the telecommunications company Alou, as part of the celebrations for the Municipality Day and Flag Day of Sa\u0303o Filipe.<\/p>\n

According to the digital transformation specialist, AI already has a significant impact on traditional business models, particularly on the well-known Business Model Canvas, which organizes the business structure into nine essential blocks, from the value proposition to customer segments.<\/p>\n

With the introduction of artificial intelligence, he explained, this model has evolved, integrating new elements such as data, models, and the interaction between humans and intelligent systems, expanding the analysis structure to eleven blocks.<\/p>\n

Juvenal Carvalho highlighted that this advancement represents a strategic opportunity, especially for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, a predominant reality in Cape Verde and on the island of Fogo.<\/p>\n

AI allows for the optimization of processes, cost reduction, and, most importantly, the personalization of products and services according to the specific needs of each client.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are talking about a technology that directly impacts how products are designed and adjusted to different consumer profiles,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Despite the strong impact, the engineer stressed that the final decision remains human.<\/p>\n

Validation, testing, and strategy definition remain the responsibility of people, reinforcing the idea that AI is a support tool and not a substitute for human thought.<\/p>\n

The workshop had a strategic and accessible character, seeking to demystify artificial intelligence and guide entrepreneurs on the first steps towards its adoption. He noted that the approach was designed to be applicable to any type of business, regardless of its size.<\/p>\n

Regarding the future of work, Juvenal Carvalho rejected the idea that AI will replace humans and, on the contrary, argued that technology tends to eliminate repetitive tasks, allowing people to focus on more creative and higher value-added activities.<\/p>\n

However, he warned that adaptation will be crucial and those who do not keep up with the evolution may lose ground, but those who adapt will create new opportunities and even generate more jobs.<\/p>\n

The intervention reinforces that artificial intelligence is not just a technological trend, but a decisive factor for business competitiveness, requiring proactivity, continuous learning and innovation capacity from organizations and professionals.<\/p>\n
