Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Juventude em Marcha theater group from Santo Ant\u00e3o endend, this Saturday, the 38th anniversary celebrations with the premiere of the play \u201cPinha ma Kentei\u201d in the cultural village space, in the city of Porto Novo, in Santo Ant\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

The production \u201cPinha m\u00e1 Kantei\u201d, exhibited for the first time in Porto Novo, honors the workers of Santo Ant\u00e3o in the construction of roads and \u201clevadas\u201d, \u201cemblematic works\u201d in Santo Ant\u00e3o, for its impact on the development process of this island, explains the leader of the group, Jorge Martins.<\/p>\n

This \u201ctragicomedy\u201d, in addition to the comedy that is characteristic of this group, also addresses \u201cthe theme of love between two characters who suffered a strong betrayal, created by a close and trusted friend of Kentei,\u201d the same source said.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the 1st, Juventude em Marcha exhibited, also in the cultural village, the film Canjana, a creation by this group, founded on March 25, 1984, which addresses the famine plagued Cabo Verde in 1947 and the famous shipwreck in November that year, in Ponta de Canjana, on the coast of Porto Novo, the American ship John Schmeltzer, loaded with corn.<\/p>\n
