Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Environmental and professional organizations from several areas gathered this Tuesday in the City of Praia to create lobbying for the promotion of public policies and environmental law on climate change.<\/p>\n

The initiative is promoted by the Terra de Valor project and is funded by the Italian Development Cooperation Agency (AICS) and Expertise France as part of the \u201cGlobal Climate Change Alliance +\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking to journalists, Terra de Valor coordinator Lorene Brito said that this project is being implemented in the three municipalities of the Island of Fogo and in the municipality of Santa Cruz, in the Santiago Island, and aims to introduce innovation in the household economy in the rural communities.<\/p>\n

Among these innovations, she highlighted the introduction of agro-ecology initiatives and good practices to combat pests, the lack of access to water, as well as the protection and conservation of soil, due the climate change.<\/p>\n
