Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The extended program for sports resumption, for the 2021\/2022 season, will benefit 61 clubs formally constituted, at national level, with a non-refundable subsidy, according to the final list, published this Friday, April 8, by the Instituto do Sport and Youth (IDJ). Isla Brava is left out, which has not submitted any candidacy.<\/p>\n

The program is budgeted at 45 million escudos and aims to support the sporting recovery and promote the continuous development of modalities organized in official competitions in the country.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from the IDJ, in this first phase, the final list included 13 clubs from Santo Ant\u00e3o, 10 from S\u00e3o Vicente, 3 from S\u00e3o Nicolau, 8 from Sal, 2 from Boa Vista, 3 from Maio, 19 from the island of Santiago (10 from from the southern region and 9 from the northern region) and 3 from the island of Fogo. The clubs on the island of Brava were left out, for not having sent any application.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is important to emphasize that the clubs selected for this phase were those that managed to complete their registration on the Eureka Platform, fulfilling all the required requirements and that submitted their application for the non-refundable subsidy, in accordance with the conditions of access to the program, defined by the Ordinance No. 57\/2021, of December 27th\u201d, explains the IDJ.<\/p>\n

The same source recalls that the Expanded Sports Recovery Program is intended for formally constituted clubs, registered in the official competitions of Regional and Sports Associations for the 2021\/2022 sports season, affiliated with Cape Verdean Sports Federations of collective modalities, holders of Public Utility Sport, based in the country.<\/p>\n

IDJ congratulates and thanks everyone who was ready to participate in this initiative, considered of great value for the resumption of sports activities in the country.<\/p>\n

To clubs and associations that were unable to submit their applications, we encourage them to register on the Eureka Platform, thus preparing for future applications or programs.<\/p>\n
