Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) representation in Cabo Verde is available to support a possible application of the island of Santo Ant\u00e3o to world heritage.<\/p>\n

FAO representative in Cabo Verde, Ana Laura Touza, in a message addressed on Tuesday, on the occasion of the launch of the International Year of the Mountains, whose act took place in Santo Ant\u00e3o, said she was aware that the municipalities of Santo Anta\u00e3o want the classification of this island to the category of world heritage.<\/p>\n

She also said she has information that the Government is working to promote Santo Ant\u00e3o among the 20 most beautiful islands in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn ambition more than fair. FAO will always be available to support efforts to achieve these objectives,\u201d said the international organization\u2019s representative in Cabo Verde.<\/p>\n
