The presentation is scheduled for next Friday, at the On\u00e9simo Silveira auditorium in the University of Mindelo (Uni-Mindelo).<\/p>\n

The work represents a bibliographic testimony resulting from a research work by Jorge Tolentino on the writer of Claridade, as the author explained at the launch of the book in March, in S\u00e3o Filipe, Fogo, where the writer lived.<\/p>\n

The author tries in this book to stimulate and provoke in the younger ones the taste for reading the works of Henrique Teixeira de Sousa, who describes as being \u201cone of the people who marked Cabo Verde in the twentieth century in the fields of literature, medicine, politics among others\u201d. Henrique Teixeira de Sousa (September 6, 1919 \u2013 March 3, 2006) was a Cabo Verdean physician and writer.<\/p>\n

He wrote works such as \u201cContra Mar evento \u2013 livro de contos\u201d (1972), \u201cIlh\u00e9u de contenda\u201d (first of trilogy) (1978), \u201cCapit\u00e3o de Mar e Terra\u201d (1984), \u201cXaguate\u201d (second trilogy) (1987) \u201cDjunga\u201d (1990), \u201cNa Ribeira de Deus\u201d (third in trilogy) (1992), \u201cEntre duas Bandeiras\u201d (1994), \u201cOh Mar das T\u00farbidas Vagas\u201d (2005).<\/p>\n
