Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The president of the Movement for Democracy (MpD), Ulisses Correia e Silva, said on Wednesday that any militant of the party he leads can stand candidature for the leadership of the MpD with the motto he likes.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister was speaking to reporters on the way out of a meeting with the president of the Cabo Verdean Independent Democratic Union (UCID), Jo\u00e3o Santos Lu\u00eds, when he was asked to comment on the Orlando Dias candidature motto for the presidency of the MpD launched on social networks.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny MpD militant is free to stand candidature with the motto he likes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Orlando Dias militant and parliamentary member, elected by the MpD, presented as the motto of his candidature \u201cRescue the MpD \u2013 Return the party to the militants\u201d and said the central objective of his candidacy is to create chain within the party and unite the bases around common objectives, corresponding to the concerns of militancy and support base.<\/p>\n
