As it said in a statement, the Maternal Mental Health Movement promotes a range of activities, online and face-to-face, during the May, in order to raise awareness and demystify society about motherhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cDiscuss the roles, beliefs and myths that structure the sociocultural view of motherhood, enabling the construction of paradigms and a powerful new culture of mental health, not only for mothers, but for society as a whole,\u201d it reads.<\/p>\n

The same source said that the \u201cMaio-furta-cor\u201d campaign, on the islands of S. Ant\u00e3o, S. Vicente, Santiago and Boa Vista, which aims to raise awareness on \u201cMaternal Mental Health\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis campaign aims to raise awareness of the cause of maternal mental health around the world, and in Cabo Verde the group will carry out a range of activities to foster debates to promote awareness at the national level,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

In the same document, it is also read that this campaign has as godmother the first lady, D\u00e9bora Carvalho, and has the \u201cengagement\u201d of different feminist movements and health professionals, as well as the Eco-feminism Movement of Cabo Verde, Wake Up Queen, psychologists, obstetricnurses and physiotherapists.<\/p>\n
