Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of National Defense said on Sunday in S\u00e3o Vicente that the entry of young people in the Armed Forces, in addition to fulfilling a constitutional obligation, \u201cis an opportunity\u201d to build \u201ca fruitful military career, often unknown by society.\u201d<\/p>\n

Janine L\u00e9lis was speaking during the swearing-in ceremony for 392 recruits at the Zeca Santos Centre for Military Instruction, in Morro Branco, in S\u00e3o Vicente.<\/p>\n

According to the Minister of State, National Defense and Minister of Social Cohesion, \u201cvery little\u201d is known about the opportunities for education and training the young people have when joining the Armed Forces.<\/p>\n

For example, she cited the recent competition for the course for officers of permanent staff, through military technical cooperation with Portugal, which is equivalent to the Master\u2019s degree in military sciences.<\/p>\n
